CURRENT RESPONSIBILITIES
Steve has made a career out of representing tenants in their office space needs. An understanding of the tenant's goals, complete knowledge of a wide variety of transactions and his contacts in the corporate real estate community have enabled him to conclude significant real estate transactions with such tenants as BB&T, Dominion Resources, Verizon, Wachovia, American General, Anthem, Virginia Mutual Insurance and Virginia Credit Union.
CAREER SUMMARY
Steve served as a U.S. Naval Officer in the North Atlantic, Mediterranean and Northern Europe for 6 years prior to joining Harrison & Bates in 1980. His career representing tenants has spanned the past 29 years.
PERSONAL INFORMATION
Steve is a graduate of the University of Virginia with a Bachelor of Science in Commerce.
Steve is one of a select few to have earned the following commercial real estate designations: CCIM, Certified Commercial Investment Member; CPM, Certified Property Manager, and SIOR, Society of Industrial & Office Realtors.
He currently serves on the Board of the Heart of Virginia Council, Boy Scouts of America, serves as Chairman of the Board of Westminster Cantebury, and serves as an Elder of First Presbyterian Church.
He is married to Margaret Conner Gentil, and they have three grown children.
